Former aide to ex-president Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri has blamed the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, for the low turn out of voters in the South-east during last Saturday’s elections.
Omokri said this while faulting Kanu for blaming foreigners for the victory of President Muhammadu Buhari.
Kanu, while sharing a video of foreign observers speaking on the outcome of last Saturday’s election, had said: “Now we know our problem is more than we previously thought. The Satanic alliance between the colonial powers and the devilish Islamic Jihadists of the caliphate is far more deeper than previously imagined. I never knew a white person can lie so perfectly. Only Biafra can save us.”
However, Omokri, the former presidential aide, faulted the IPOB leader for his comments.
In a tweet, Omokri wrote: “Nnamdi Kanu shouldn’t heap blame on foreign observers. True, @OfficialAPCNg rigged. But Nnamdi has his share of massive blame on how this election turned out.
“His unwise call for election boycott dampened voter enthusiasm in the SE. Yes, he called it off, but the damage was done.”
