The Enugu state police command has commenced investigation into the alleged shooting and death of one Osondu Odoh, a 30-year-old supporter of Sen. Ayogu Eze, on Saturday.
The spokesman of the command, SP Ebere Amaraizu, made the disclosure in a statement made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Enugu on Saturday.
DAILY POST recalls that Odoh was shot at the home of Senator Ayogu Eze, the Enugu State gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in Umuonu-Umuida, Enugu-Ezike.
The Command’s Public Relations Officer said that Odoh, the senator’s supporter, was not an election observer as being erroneously believed and circulated by unconfirmed sources.
He, however, said that the shooting took place at Eze’s residence at Igbo-Eze North Local Government Area of the state.
