A member of the House of Representatives from Kano State, Aliyu Madaki, has questioned the integrity claim of President Muhammadu Buhari, following the declaration of inconclusive elections by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
Madaki queried that Buhari’s integrity should be questioned after INEC declared the last Saturday’s governorship election in some states inconclusive.
The lawmaker from Dala Federal constituency said Buhari’s inaction and silence over INEC’s decision to declare elections inconclusive calls for concern.
Madaki, who is a member of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, spoke during plenary on the floor of the House yesterday.
He said: “If the president has any integrity, it should be questioned seriously. We will not take it; we will not allow it. It will not happen.
Stating that he won’t rig elections or support electoral violence, Madaki said “nobody will rig us out” in Kano.
“Nobody will come to Kano and say this must be done. Kano is not Lagos,” he added.
