A man has been arrested by the Police for stripping before boarding a Ural Airlines flight at Russia’s Domodedovo Airport in Moscow.
According to the man, whose identity is yet to be revealed, he wanted to be more aerodynamic while in the air and he believed he would achieve that by being naked completely.
The nude intruder was then caught by airport staff as he ran onto the jet bridge and detained by police, the Moscow Times reports.
One passenger was quoted by REN TV saying:
“He shouted that he was naked because clothing impairs the aerodynamics of the body. He flies with more agility when undressed.”
Footage shows the man still completely naked when he is handcuffed.
He is first seen kneeling in front of officers in the middle of a corridor, before he turns sideways and leans his back and legs against the sidewalls.
The passenger appears to regret being stopped as he stares blankly ahead.
The man, originally from the Russian port city of Yakutsk, didn’t show signs of being drunk, witnesses claim.
“After the police had detained the offender, he was taken to the airport’s medical room and then was hospitalized in a medical facility.
“The offender is a native of Yakutsk but lives in the Moscow region,” the press service of the Interior Ministry said.
