President Muhammadu Buhari, Monday met behind closed doors the outgoing Governor of Imo State, Owelle Rochas Okorocha at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Okorocha arrived at the State House about 1pm and proceeded to the President’s office.
The Governor who contested the National Assembly election on February 23 to represent Imo West Senatorial District (Orlu zone), was declared winner of the election.
But the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Returning Officer who declared him winner, later said that he did that under duress.
This led to the INEC Chairman, Mahmood Yakubu, to withhold his Certificate of Return.
Okorocha has also been having problem with the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC), for his alleged anti-party activities during the governorship election.
