The Senator-elect for Niger East Senatorial district under the All Progressives Congress, APC, Mohammed Sani-Musa, has reacted to the appeal court judgement nullifying his candidacy.
DAILY POST reports on Tuesday had that the Court of Appeal in Abuja nullified the election of Mohammed Sani Musa as Senator-elect for Niger East Senatorial District.
Consequently, the court declared incumbent Senator David Umaru as the duly elected candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Reacting, Sani-Musa, in a statement, said that he would reclaim his mandate at the Supreme Court.
While expressing his dissatisfaction with the appellate court judgment, he said he would pursue the case to a logical conclusion at the Supreme Court.
The statement read in part: ”The appeal court ruling cannot stand; it is a miscarriage of justice and a complete aberration to what justice entails.
“I have no doubt in my mind that the apex court in the land will right the wrong temporarily was done to my mandate by the lower court.
“There is no cause for alarm, as I fittingly won the APC primary election conducted for the senatorial district,” the Senator-elect said.
