The Kwara State House of Assembly on Wednesday gave a six-day ultimatum to Gov. Abdulfatah Ahmed to produce before it the Director-General of the State Bureau of Public Private Partnership (BPPP), Mr Yomi Ogunsola.
The House gave the order at Wednesday’s plenary after the director-general failed to respond to Tuesday’s summon by the House over allegation of unaudited fund spent by the bureau, NaN reports.
The Deputy Speaker, Mathew Okedare, who presided over plenary, said the governor must produce Ogunsola by April 16.
The House also refused to entertain explanations from two staff of the bureau–Mrs Oluwatosin Aremu, a computer analyst and Mr Falode Oluwaseyi, a manager.
All the lawmakers at plenary unanimously rejected the appearance of the two officers and demanded the presence of Ogunsola.
Kamal Fagbemi (PDP-Okeogun) had under Matters of Urgent Public Importance informed the House of Ogunsola’s refusal to appear before the House Committee on Finance and Appropriations to explain why the bureau’s fund was not audited.
