The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu has reacted to the claim by Festus Keyamo, the spokesman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) campaign council that one does not need a WAEC certificate to become President of Nigeria.
Keyamo had in an interview on Sunday claimed that under the Nigerian constitution, one does not need a WAEC certificate to become President of Nigeria.
According to him, if you have occupied the public office for a reasonable length of time, you do not need a WAEC certificate to become president of Nigeria.
But reacting, Nnamdi Kanu in a tweet on Monday, described Nigeria law as a ‘joke’.
He said, “It is worrying when supposed senior judges and lawyers, including Senior Advocates, don’t know their School Certificate from their First School Leaving Certificate.
“Law in Nigeria is a joke! No School Certificate (WAEC) no presidency, Period!”
