President Muhammadu Buhari has sent his condolences to the family of former Commissioner of Police Affairs, Dr Ibrahim Yakubu Lame.
DAILY POST reported that Lame, a former governorship aspirant of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, in Bauchi State died on Sunday.
President Buhari, in a brief condolence message, a copy of which was made available to DAILY POST by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, said the party stalwart served the nation faithfully until he passed on, describing him as a man of “sound intellect and outstanding wit.”
“He served the party and the nation selflessly. He and a handful of others travelled across states of the federation spreading the APC message at its inception, paving way for acceptance and its eventual victory in 2015, and in February this year,” the president noted.
President Buhari prayed that Allah will forgive his shortcomings and grant his family, friends and the government and people of Bauchi State the fortitude to bear the loss.
The death has been announced of former Minister of Police Affairs, Dr Ibrahim Yakubu Lame.
Dr. lame, Bauchi APC chieftain passed on exactly 4:10am Sunday morning in a Turkish Hospital, Abuja.
He was a former Senator of Bauchi south; Special adviser on drugs and financial crime during Obasanjo regime, and a former Bauchi APC gubernatorial aspirant, 2019 and a (former Santurakin Bauchi) a Traditional title.
According to his cousin and a childhood peer, Babayo Lame, Dr. Lame left behind a wife and five children. One of his sons is Managing Director, Fariya Foundation Investment, Alh.Yakubu Ibrahim (Baba).
