The police in Imo State have arrested three people over the alleged invasion of the private residence of the immediate past governor of the state, Rochas Okorocha.
They were said to be domestic staff of the former governor.
Speaking in an interview with Daily Trust, the Commissioner of Police, Rabiu Ladodo, said that preliminary investigation showed that the invasion of the former governor’s Ogboko home was an internal sabotage.
The CP said: “We have arrested three domestic staff of the immediate past governor. Preliminary investigation carried out by us showed that the invasion was carried out by those who are working there.
“I want to assure Imo people that we are on top of the situation and we are doing everything possible to ensure that nothing is left undone in making sure that justice prevails”.
Recall that a member of Okorocha’s family had earlier claimed the assailants arrived the ex-Governor’s residence at about 2am on Friday and overpowered the security, before gaining entrance into the main building.
