Senator representing Kogi West Senatorial District In the National Assembly, Dino Melaye has criticised Governor Yahaya Bello for hugging traditional ruler, Alh. Ado Ibrahim.
In a post shared on Melaye’s Twitter page, Bello was seen hugging Alh Ado Ibrahim during Eid Mubarak celebration on Tuesday.
According to Maleye, the act was uncalled, describing it ”as a sign of disrespect to the traditional ruler.”
The Kogi lawmaker further described Bello as being rude and disobedient to the the seat of HRM.
Melaye on his Twitter page wrote: “Very disrespectful and rude. Governor Yahaya Bello hugging his paramount traditional ruler, Alh Ado Ibrahim who is over 90 years.
“Can Gov Tambuwal hug the Sultan? Or will El-rufai hug the Emir of Zaria? If this disobedient child will not respect the seat of Ohinoyi, he should respect the age of HRM.
“Home training is not a gift.”
Meanwhile, Melaye has reportedly declared his intentions to contest the Kogi governorship election scheduled for November 16.
Melaye made the declaration on Saturday during a meeting of Kogi West PDP executives at his country home in Aiyetoro Gbede, Ijumu local government area of the state.
