Nigerians on social media have reacted to the emergence of Senator Ahmed Lawan from Yobe North as the President of the 9th Assembly.
DAILY POST had reported that Lawan was on Tuesday declared the winner of election to the office of the Senate President of the 9th National Assembly after he polled the highest votes.
This was disclosed by the Clerk to the National Assembly, Sani Omolori, after the counting of the votes were done during the inaugural session on Tuesday.
Omolori said: “107 cast their votes, Lawan 79 votes while Ndume 28 votes total votes cast 107 on this strength, Lawan is hereby elected as Senate President.”
