A cross section of Nigerians and corps members have reacted to the announcement of automatic employment by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) who distinguished themselves during the 2019 general election.
DAILY POST reports that INEC’s Prof. Mahmood Yakubu on Monday during the presentation of laptops and phones used by the European Election Observation Mission to 75 corps members promised that the commission will grant automatic employment to NYSC corp members who distinguished themselves during the 2019 general election.
Yakubu added that those who will participate in the Bayelsa and Kogi governorship elections scheduled for November will get the same reward.
The announcement has since stirred reactions from Nigerians on social media as some corps members called on INEC to pay up the money owed them during the 2019 election.
