The Senior Pastor of the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA), Biodun Fatoyinbo, has said he would have still been a member of the church, if he wasn’t already the spiritual leader.
Fatoyinbo stated this during his short speech on Sunday, days after Busola, wife to singer Timi Dakolo, alleged that the pastor raped her when she was barely 18.
Amid calls to step down, the charismatic preacher claimed if he wasn’t the Senior Pastor of the church, he would have still been a member.
“I have always said something to you. I said that if I wasn’t the pastor, I would still be a member,” he said.
The COZA Founder went on to announce a suspension of their annual programme ‘Seven Days of Glory’.
The programme was earlier scheduled to commence on Monday, July 1. Instead, Fatoyinbo has declared indefinite prayers to replace the event.
He had previously issued a statement, strongly denying that he raped Mrs. Dakolo while she was a teenager.
