President Muhammadu Buhari has sent a condolence message to the people and government of Lagos State over the recent pipeline explosion that claimed the lives of some residents of the State on Thursday.
DAILY POST reported yesterday that the pipeline along Ijegun axis of Satellite town exploded. Ijegun is a northern suburban community in Alimosho Local Government Area of Lagos State.
The President, in a statement by Femi Adesina, his Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, commiserated “with families who lost their loved ones in an inferno in Ijegun, Lagos State, on Thursday.
The statement added that Buhari condoled with the people and government of Lagos over the fire disaster that claimed lives and property, and called on security agencies to “ensure that those behind the unfortunate incident are brought to justice”.
He called on all Nigerians to “avoid tampering with pipelines and sensitive installations across the country” and admonished that “such interference put many lives at risk”.
Buhari prayed that “God will accept the soul of the departed and comfort their families”.
