President Muhammadu Buhari has expressed his condolences to the family and people of Nasarawa State over the death of Vice Admiral Husaini Abdullahi (retd).
He also commiserated with military authorities on the passing of the former governor of old Bendel State, who was in office from March 1976 to July 1978.
The President expressed this in a statement signed by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, on Wednesday.
Buhari stated that, “Vice Admiral Abdullahi’s life was defined by dedicated service to the nation and others, exemplified by his brilliant career in the military and numerous works in the private sector.
“This resulted in the provision of gainful employment to many Nigerians.
“I pray Almighty Allah to grant the soul of the departed eternal rest and comfort all who mourn.”
Abdullahi was the military governor of old Bendel State from March 1976 to July 1978 during the military regime of General Olusegun Obasanjo, and had chaired the board of directors of the Inland Bank Nigeria.
