The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, has accused some members of the House of frustrating the E-Parliament effort of his assembly.
He made the accusation Wednesday before the commencement of the day’s plenary, lamenting that some members were swapping the allotted seat by removing name tags.
Gbajabiamila disclosed that the seats have been programmed with the names and profiles of the members, but by swapping seats, the members were frustrating the E-parliament initiative.
“Please colleagues, your seats are programmed with your names, so let us stop changing seats.
“By Friday, the seats will be rearranged. When you change seat, you make our E-parliament effort difficult,” he said.
DAILY POST recalls that E-parliament was part of the Gbaja/Wase campaign.
Also interestingly, this is the second time the issue of seat is getting attention during plenary.
Recently, seat almost caused pandemonium between the Speaker and Kingsley Chinda during the minority leadership struggle.
