Popular Nigerian rapper, Eedris Abulkareem, recently used his official social media to announce the death of his aged mother, Alhaja Safurat Ajoke Ajenifuja, aged 96, who passed away on Friday, July 12.
The veteran rap act penned a long and emotional tribute to his mum as he recounted some of the important moments they spent together while he was growing up.
Abdulkareem in his tribute described his mum as his confidante, role model, prayer warrior and a mother of all seasons.
He gave a recount of some of her patriotic duties with the legendary Funmilayo Anikulapo Kuti, which led to the abdication of Oba Adewole the 2nd in 1949, adding that she was a colossus in the areas of human rights activism and the fight for the betterment of the society.
