President Muhammadu Buhari has said he will assign portfolios, when his cabinet is formally inaugurated.
Buhari disclosed this via his verified Twitter page on Tuesday, hours after the Senate concluded screening of the 43 nominees he sent to them.
“I welcome the conclusion of the confirmation process for Ministerial nominees. I commend the Senate for speedily attending to this very important task.
“Portfolios will be assigned when the Cabinet is formally inaugurated. I look forward to working with this very capable team,” the tweet read.
All the 43 ministerial nominees sent to the Red Chamber have now been confirmed.
Buhari had last Tuesday sent a list of potential ministers to the Senate for screening.
The lawmakers postponed their annual vacation to conduct the screening within five days.
