Police in Ogun State said they have arrested four out of the suspected kidnappers who abducted three persons, including the son of the Chief Imam of Ode-Omi, a border community between Ogun and Lagos States.
Police image maker in Ogun, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi confirmed the arrest to newsmen on Wednesday.
DAILY POST had earlier on Saturday reported the rescue of the three persons kidnapped by the gang unhurt.
On the of the suspects was said to have been arrested during the rescue operation which was personally led by the state Commissioner of Police, Bashir Makama, who made use of police helicopter for aerial surveillance of the creek where the hoodlums were tracked to.
The suspects, according to the Ogun Police Command, would be investigated as efforts were ongoing to apprehend other members of the gang still at large.
