The Senior Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on Social Investment, Maryam Uwais, has disclosed that the Nigerian government was working on how to “disengage” over 200,000 beneficiaries of the government’s social intervention programme, N-Power.
Uwais made the disclosure while featuring on Nigerian Television Authority, NTA.
She disclosed that the government was in talks with the Finance ministry on the next plan for those to be disengaged.
“We are trying to see how we can address some of these gaps through these N-power beneficiaries that are meant to be disengaged by end of the year.
“We are looking out loans to be made available to them, it has not be finalized yet with the finance ministry,” she said.
