The Industrial Training Fund (ITF) and the Nigeria Employers’ Consultative Association (NECA), in collaboration with ULDA Nigeria Limited, invite applications from qualified, passionate young Nigerians of sound character and learning for Construction Skills Technical Training Programme in Lagos.
DESCRIPTION: Young, passionate and qualified Nigerians of sound character are invited to submit applications for the six (6) months intensive hands-on competence-based construction skills training programme marked by visible and existing projects in Technical Skills Development in the following areas: Construction Carpentry, Domestic Plumbing, Domestic Electrical Installation and Maintenance, Masonry (Blocks, Bricks, Concreting & Finishes), Construction Fabrication & Steel Fixing, Site Supervision and Management.
OBJECTIVES: To train & equip Nigerian youths with employable and/or self-enterprise-enhancing vocational skills in construction and building trades with emphasis on precision and perfect finish (through the many projects a candidate will partake in before completing his/her training) in an industry mentor-trainee environment that respects trainees’ potentials as budding construction world’s ambassadors of excellence. To promote a Public-Private Sector model in Technical and Vocation Skills Training.
REQUIREMENTS: Eligible candidates must possess a minimum of any of the under listed qualifications: National Technical Certificate (NTC) in Construction & Building Related Trades, National Diploma in any Construction & Building Related Course, Practicing Artisans with relevant Advanced Technical Post-Apprenticeship Certification will be considered.
Candidates for Site Supervision and Management MUST be holders of a relevant B.Sc degree or HND in any “Built-Environment” course and is passionate about precision and perfect finishes in buildings or physical structures. Electrical Trades trainees MUST possess an O’ level credit in English Language, Mathematics and Physics. All other candidates MUST possess an O’ level credit in English Language and Mathematics. Demonstration of good numerical ability and fluency in communication skills will be an added advantage. Applicant should not be more than 30 years old as at the time of application.

NOTE: The programme is entirely non-residential and successful candidates are expected to cater for their transportation and accommodation throughout the programme.
Short listed candidates will be contacted through their E-MAIL or SMS for an aptitude test on a scheduled date. Candidates are advised to make arrangement for their lunch during this test.
The successful candidates will be invited for Oral Interview and submit recent Medical Test after the written test. Shortlisted Candidates will be required to present the originals of their Credentials for Scrutiny at the screening point.
