The new Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) Zone 6 Headquarters of the Nigeria Police has assumed duties in the zone in Calabar, Cross River State.
He is AIG Zaki M. Ahmed from Kebbi State. Ahmed succeeds AIG Musa Kimo.
In a press release signed by the Zone 6 Police Public Relations Officer, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Nelson A. Okpabi, said the New Assistant Inspector-General of Police was appointed into the Nigeria Police Force in 1988 as an Assistant Superintendent.
He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sociology from the renowned Usman Dan Fodio University, Sokoto and a Masters Degree in Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice (MLC) from the famous Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
The AIG has held several command and staff appointments and attended many professional courses.
“He is a professional police officer par excellence and an astute administrator. He operates an open door policy in accordance with international best practices with zero tolerance for crime and criminality.
“The twenty-eighth AIG of Zone 6 Calabar, who has assumed office, has enjoined the peace loving people of the zone, comprising Akwa Ibom, Cross River, Ebonyi and Rivers States, to remain law abiding as he is resolved to provide water tight security in the commands under his watch, please,” the PPRO zone 6 stated.
