The Kaduna State Government has on Wednesday, approved eight new political appointments.
Mrs. Saude Amina Atoyebi has been appointed Senior Special Assistant and Kaduna State focal person for Social Investments. Also appointed is Ahmed Maiyaki, who becomes SSA-Community Relations.
A statement from Sir Kashim Ibrahim House disclosed that Malam Nasir El-Rufai has approved the appointments of the following persons:
Ahmed Maiyaki Senior Special Assistant, Community Relations, Umar Abdullahi Yaro Special Assistant, Social Investment Programme
Mubarak Abdulkadir Special Assistant, ICT, Rebecca Maulome Padonu, Special Assistant, Social Investment Programme, Adamu Barde Abubakar Special Assistant, Economic Matters, Samuel Hadwyah. Special Assistant, Economic Matters, Umar Abubakar Special Assistant to the DcoS, Legislative Matters.
According to the statement, “Saude, who has also served as the Senior Special Assistant, Administration, has since resumed in her new position, representing Kaduna State on the National Social Investment Programme.
“Her appointment is to augment the effort of the Federal Government to reduce levels of poverty and socio-economic vulnerability in the country through the National Social Investment Programmes (NISP) such as the National Home Grown School Feeding Programme, National Cash Transfer Programme, N-power and the Government Enterprise and Empowerment Programme established by the National Social Investment Office.
“Saude began working for Malam Nasir El-Rufai in 2012 as a researcher for his acclaimed budget series. She served as secretary of the Finance sub-committee of the 2015 Kaduna State Transition Committee before her appointment as the governor’s Personal Secretary and Senior Special Assistant, Administration. In these roles, she has provided support for the running of the Governor’s Office and has sometimes covered the duties of the Principal Private Secretary.
“As Saude Amina Mohammed, she graduated in Economics from ABU Zaria, close to her Wusasa roots, before taking a master’s degree in Advertising and Marketing from Coventry University, United Kingdom. She has attended the Harvard Kennedy School Executive Education Programme on Adaptive Leadership and the Agha Khan University’s Voice of Leadership programme.
“Umar Abdullahi Yaro and Rebecca Padonu will be assisting Saude on the Social Investment Programme. Umar, an IT specialist, was a member of the 2019 APC Campaign Council and Transition Committee.
“Rebecca Padonu, a member of the pioneer set of Kashim Ibrahim Fellows, graduated with first-class honours from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
“Ahmed Maiyaki was the DG-Media to former Governor, Mukhtar Ramalan Yero. Hadwyah studied Economics in ABU and was APC candidate for the Kachia State Constituency in the 2019 elections.”
