Gunmen on Wednesday night kidnapped the President of Resident Doctors at the Delta State University Teaching Hospital, DELSUTH, Dr. Jerry Isogun.
DAILY POST gathered that the medical doctor was said to be heading to Sapele, his base, when the gunmen waylaid his vehicle and whisked him away to an unknown destination from the Oghara-Mosogar/Sapele road along the Benin highway in Ethiope-West Local Government.
It is not clear if the gunmen have contacted the victim’s family to negotiate a ransom for his release.
The Delta State University Teaching Hospital, DELSUTH is yet to make any official statement on the abduction of the medical doctor.
The Delta State Commissioner of Police, CP Adeyinka Adeleke is yet to pick his calls as well as respond to text message sent to his mobile phone for confirmation of the report.
