The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the last general election, Atiku Abubakar, has confirmed the death of his company’s Managing Director, Ahmed Jarma.
DAILY POST had reported that the Managing Director of Adama Beverages Ltd, Yola, Alhaji Ahmed Jarma died on Sunday.
The company owned by former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, produced a range of water and fruit juice products under the group name, Faro.
A family source who spoke from Misau, the deceased home town in Bauchi State, confirmed the death, saying Jarma died at 58 after a brief illness at Nzamieye Turkish Hospital, Abuja.
Confirming the death, Atiku on Twitter commiserated with Jarma’s family and friends.
He tweeted, “Ahmed Jarma was the pioneer MD of Adama Beverages Ltd.
Until his death this morning; he was the Chairman, North East branch of Manufacturers Association of Nigeria.
“I commiserate with his family and friends. May Allah forgive his sins and grant him Aljannah Firdaus.”
