Following failed attempt to take control of Damaturu, Yobe state capital by Boko Haram terrorists on Sunday, governor Mai Mala Buni has called on the people of the state to remain calm stating that, the military is on top of the situation.
He also said that plans were underway to restrategise the fight against the dreaded insurgents, adding that such attacks will soon become history.
The governor said, the current situation also calls for prayers, assuring the people that plans are underway to change the narrative and therefore called for the people to remain confident and go about their normal activities.
While applauding the military for their gallantry in repelling the attack, governor Buni saluted, “ the courage and determination on the part of the military that thwarted the insurgents attempt so that Yobe and indeed Nigeria will have some peace”.
