The United States has expressed sadness over the crash of Ukrainian plane in Iran.
The Boeing-737 with 180 people onboard went down near an airport in the capital, Tehran, on Wednesday.
The aircraft belonging to Ukraine International Airlines crashed just after take-off from Iran’s Imam Khomeini airport.
The plane was reportedly en route to the Ukrainian capital of Kyiv.
The crash is suspected to have been caused by mechanical issues.
In its reaction, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, said the world power was ready to assist in an investigation into the incident.
He tweeted: “Saddened by the news of the crash of Ukraine International Airlines flight PS752. I extend my deepest condolences to the families & friends of the victims.
“We stand ready to assist Ukraine in the aftermath of this tragic crash and call for full cooperation with any investigation.”
