The Senior Pastor of Awaiting The Second Coming Of Jesus Christ, Adewale Giwa, has urged President Muhammadu Buhari to take decisive action to prevent further killing of citizens by terrorist groups in the country.
The cleric compares Buhari government to that of biblical Jehoram, king of Judah, whose administration created brinkmanship in the northern Kingdom of Israel.
According to Giwa, Buhari’s hands are stained with blood, and nothing is done to address the situation.
The outspoken Christian leader, who also lambasted some clergymen who could not call “a spade a spade” just because of their selfish interest, said,” I demand nothing but good governance and national security from President Muhammadu Buhari.
“Good governance holds the attributes of transparency, efficiency, fairness participation, rule of law, accountability, and decency. Do we have these attributes in Nigeria today?
“It is unfortunate that most of our clergymen the country is parading have decided to step their feet on the path of the wicked; God will hold them accountable for their silence, God will question them for allowing evil to continue to befall the nation by not speaking the truth to power.
“In 2 Chronicles 21:12, Prophet Elijah wrote a letter to King Jehoram, the son of Jehoshaphat, warning him the consequences of his actions by neglecting God. Where are these Prophets today? where are those claiming to serve God truly?
“Why are the unbelievers killing the believers and none of the clergymen could talk? Buhari’s government has forsaken God, Nigeria has forsaken God and unless we go back to God before things can be alright.
“Therefore, each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to your neighbor, for we are all members of one body, says Ephesians 4:25. Under this government, Boko Haram members are mounting roadblocks in some Northern parts of the country. Under this government, some Christian leaders have been slaughtered like animals by Boko Haram.
“Where is Leah Shabiru? where are other children kidnapped alongside her by Boko Haram? When things are not right in a country, the leader of that country needs to be blamed. This government is misrepresenting the truth, they don’t give us accurate information, and this is dangerous.
“Nigerians need to go back to God, He is the only answer to our problems and worries.”
