The Zamfara State chapter of the All Progressive Congress(APC) has reacted to the suspension of two senior district headsby the state government over undisclosed reasons .
The affected monarchs are the district head of Kanwa in Zurmi Local Government Area, Alhaji Bello Kanwa , and the district head of Bakura in Bakura Local Government Area of the state, Alhaji Bello Yusuf .
The All Progressives Congress in the state condemned the suspension of the traditional rulers, claiming it was politically motivated .
According to the state chairman of the party, Alhaji Lawal Liman Laura, two APC members, an ex -commissioner, Alhaji Bello Dankande and spokesman for the party in the state, Alhaji Ibrahim Danmaliki, Gidan Goga were remanded in prison custody by a Gusau court for offences the state government accused the opposition party of masterminding .
“ They were suspended because they stood as sureties for two APC members, who were granted bail by the court that requested them to produce two district heads and two permanent secretaries as sureties. ” the state APC chairman said.
Kaura noted that the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state had shown that it had no regard for the traditional institution following the suspension of the district heads .
“The two district heads acted promptly by standing for the two people since they come from their respective districts, ” he said.
Gidan Goga and Dankande were granted bail by the court on the condition that they must have two district heads and two permanent secretaries as sureties .
