Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom has approved the appointment of Ben Agande as General Manager, Benue Printing and Publishing Corporation, BPPC, publishers of The Voice Newspaper.
A statement issued by Ortom’s Chief Press Secretary, Tever Akase said the Secretary to the State Government, Professor Anthony Ijohor had already issued a letter of appointment to the new BPPC General Manager, which takes effect from January 27, 2020.
Agande takes over from Philip Anza who has been redeployed as Principal Special Assistant to the Governor on Commercial Enterprises.
Prior to his appointment, Agande held various positions among which are:
Senior Correspondent, Vanguard newspaper in charge of North Western states of Kaduna, Katsina and Zamfara till the date of his new appointment.
State House Correspondent, Vanguard Newspapers – September 2006- February, 2009 and later from November 2012 to July 2015.
National Assembly Correspondent, Vanguard Newspapers – 1999 to October 2005 and later from March 2010 to November 2012.
Chief Press Secretary, National Environmental Standards and Regulations Enforcement Agency, NESREA, from February 2009 – March, 2010.
Special Assistant to the Governor of Benue State on Media – October, 2005 – August, 2006.
