A renowned Islamic Scholar and the Deputy National Chairman, Fatwa Committee of Supreme Council of Islamic Affairs, Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi has expressed unhappiness over the removal of the Emir of Kano Muhammadu Sanusi II .
Sheikh Dahiru who is a leader of Tijaniyya adherents expressed his disappointment while speaking with reporters in Bauchi, He said we are not happy with what had happened but that is what almighty Allah destined for him .
He said Sanusi inherited his grandfather who was appointed emir of Kano and he was removed, so also Sanusi was also appointed and removed, we have seen what has happened but Almighty Allah knows better what will happen to him in the future.
The scholar said the way the emir was removed looked like a dictatorship and undemocratic but Allah knows what will happen to him in the future.
He advised the people of Kano to remain calm and not take laws into their hand nor resort to violence, we have seen this and we don’t know what violence it will bring they have power in their hand they have weapons they have money if people resort to violence they will open fire and kill our people. Let our people remain calm and pray to almighty Allah.
The Scholar prayed for the best to happen to the emir and prayed that Allah will protect him and give him the best in his remaining days on earth
He also prayed Allah to reward the former emir all his services.

Leader of the group Addaji Mohammed expressed his views while speaking with DAILYPOST in Bauchi, she faulted the decision to remove the emir and send him to exile after he was dethroned.
Addaji said restricting the emir against his wish is against his fundamental human rights as protected under the Nigerian constitution and international human rights law.
Addaji said what had happened has undermined the entire traditional institutions and has clearly shown that some leaders are power drunk and don’t respect the wishes of the people.
She said destroying our traditional institutions will destroyed our history and our rich cultural heritage.
She advised the authorities to respect and protect the fundamental human rights of the emir, his right to freedom of expression, freedom of movement and dignity.
