The Minister for Health in the Netherlands, Bruno Bruins on Wednesday collapsed while speaking during a debate about Coronavirus outbreak in the country.
The 56-year-old minister fainted behind the speaker’s lectern while answering questions and addressing the parliament on the effect of the pandemic.
He, however, disclosed that he passed out due to fatigue from weeks of intense work and not over coronavirus.
In a message on his social media page, the Durch Minister wrote: “I was feeling faint from fatigue and intense weeks.
‘I am feeling better now. I am going home now to rest this evening so I can return tomorrow to fight the corona crisis.’
Netherland’s confirmed cases of Covid-19 on Wednesday rose to 2,051.
So far, 58 people have died in the country, the National Institute for Health in the Netherlands said.
