The Senior Pastor of Daystar Church, Pastor Sam Adeyemi, has warned Nigerians to stay at home in order not to spread Coronavirus.
Adeyemi warned that announced figures by National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) cannot be used to measure the impact of the virus in Lagos especially.
This is following confirmed cases of two patients on Tuesday with COVID-19 bringing total of people infected in Nigeria to 42.
Adeyemi on his verified Twitter page wrote: “Please stay home now if you are in Nigeria, especially Lagos. Don’t use announced figures to measure the spread of the virus.
“They’re one to two weeks behind reality because testing follows strict guidelines.
“This will pass, but we must limit the impact. Have faith and take cover!
Meanwhile, the Lagos state commissioner for health, Prof. Akin Abayomi confirmed on Tuesday revealed that one of the newest cases of coronavirus in the state attended the African Magic Viewers’ Choice Award (AMVCA) on March 14.
He further warned those who attended to strictly observe self-isolation.
