The Zamfara state chapter of the Nigerian Medical Association, has called on Governor Bello Mohammed Matawalle to impose a two- week curfew in an effort to stop the spread of coronavirus .
Addressing newsmen in Gusau, the association’s chairman, Dr Kabiru Musa, noted that closing schools, ministries and other government activities in the state was not enough to prevent the spread of the deadly coronavirus.
The chairman urged the governor to as a matter of urgency restrict movement for two weeks, pointing out that the state government was supposed to have directed the people to remain at home to avoid overcrowding.
