Governor Darius Ishaku of Taraba State has directed the closure of all roads leading into Taraba State.
The governor’s directives were contained in a press statement issued on Saturday by his press secretary Hassan Mijinyawa.
“Taraba State Governor, Darius Ishaku has banned travels in and out of Taraba state with effect from Sunday, 29th March, 2020 to check spread of corona virus in the state.
“The decision to close the state’s land borders was taken as part of continued efforts by the state government to protect the residents from the spread of the dreaded corona virus.
“The commissioner of police and the commandant of National security and Civil Defence Corps have been directed to ensure strict compliance,” he said.
The governor recently closed down all the private and public institutions in the state in other to stop the spread of the COVID 19 within the state.
