The Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC) says there are now 6,213 confirmed cases of Coronavirus (COVID-19) in 49 countries across Africa.
The health agency disclosed this in a tweet on its official Twitter account on Thursday morning
According to the tweet, COVID-19 had killed 221 people in Africa, while a total of 469 patients have recovered from the disease in the continent.
