A former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayo Fayose, has tested negative for Coronavirus (COVID-19).
Fayose confirmed this in a tweet on his official Twitter page on Wednesday night.
The 59-year-old also urged Nigerians to go for the test and remain at home in line with the Federal Government’s directive.
“I took a Covid-19 test yesterday because of my perceived exposure in the last 2 weeks, I just got the result which is NEGATIVE.
“Notwithstanding, I will remain indoors like other Nigerians and I encourage more people to go for the test & remain at home in line with Government’s directive,” Fayose tweeted.
Meanwhile, the number of Coronavirus cases in Nigeria is at 174, according to NCDC.
Many of the cases are in Lagos and Abuja.
