Lagos State Government says none of its warehouses, storing COVID-19 Emergency Food Response Stimulus Package, was vandalised.
Videos on social media showed a building being looted at Abule-Egba.
On Wednesday, Jide Lawal, Assistant Director, Public Affairs Unit, Ministry of Agriculture, said the state government does not have any storage house in the area.
“The Lagos State Government has asserted that none of its warehouses was vandalised and looted contrary to an online video,” Lawal noted.
The official dismissed the incident and added that its facilities were secured.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner for Health, Prof. Akin Abayomi, has confirmed that the state recorded ten new cases of coronavirus.
The total number of cases in Lagos is currently 130, while 32 patients have been discharged.
