American singer and song-writer, Kenneth Edmonds, popularly known as ‘babyface’ has announced that he and his family had been battling the deadly coronavirus but are now being nursed back to full health.
The Eleven-time Grammy award winner took his Twitter account on Friday to thank his fans for their lovely birthday wishes, revealing that he and his family tested positive for the virus.
He said, “I would like to warmly thank everyone for the birthday wishes today.
”I feel so blessed to be able to celebrate another birthday.
“I tested positive for Covid-19, as did my family.
“It’s an incredibly scary thing to go through my friends.
“I’m happy to report we have now tested negative and are on our way back to full health.”
The singer also announced that he will take part in an April 18 Instagram Live hip-hop music event organized by Swizz Beatz and Timbaland.
Edmond has also worked with some R&B and hip-hop stars such as Whitney Houston, Madonna, Michael Jackson, Aretha Franklin, and Stevie Wonder.
He also has hits of his own, including 1997’s “Every Time I Close My Eyes.”
Meanwhile, Nigeria now has 305 confirmed cases of coronavirus, 58 patients discharged, with 7 deaths recorded.
