The Jigawa State COVID-19 task force committee said that results of six more suspected cases have returned negative.
Chairman of the committee, also State Commissioner of Health, Dr. Abba Zakari, disclosed this while briefing newsmen in Dutse.
He said six additional samples sent to Abuja for COVID-19 test from six different Local Governments Areas have all returned negative.
He explained that the suspected cases are from Dutse, Jahun, Gumel, Birniwa, Birnin Kudu and Maigatari Local Government Areas.
Dr. Zakari noted that his committee would continue to work harder and be vigilant in all the state borders with neighbouring states to ensure that the pandemic does not cross the borders into the state.
This is coming after the COVID-19 cases were identified at neighbouring states of Kano, Bauchi and Katsina States.
DAILY POST had reported that twelve suspected cases of COVID-19 test results were returned negative in Jigawa State.
He also urged citizens to continue being steadfast in prayers and keep vigilante to reinforce the surveillance efforts of the state.
