Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma, has revealed he tested negative for COVID-19.
Uzodinma disclosed this in a statement issued by the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Declan Emelumba on Monday.
The governor whose test result was released on Monday said he was free of the virus.
“The governor of Imo State, Sen. Hope Uzodimma has tested negative to the Coronavirus infection.
“The result of a test conducted on him came out this morning and confirmed that he is free of the virus,” the Nation quoted the statement as saying.
Meanwhile, Nigeria on Sunday recorded five new cases of Coronavirus in Nigeria, bringing the number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria to 323.
Imo State has no confirmed case.
