The Africa Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC) has said that there are now 20,270 confirmed cases of Coronavirus (COVID-19) in 52 countries across Africa.
Africa CDC stated this in a tweet on its official Twitter handle on Saturday evening.
According to the tweet, COVID-19 has killed 1025 people in Africa, while a total of 4,701 patients have recovered from the deadly disease across the continent.
The Northern region is now the highest in the continent, with 745 deaths, followed by Western region with 119 deaths, Southern region with 61 deaths, while Central region follows with 54 deaths and Eastern region with 46 deaths.

Meanwhile, Nigeria recorded 49 confirmed cases of Coronavirus on Saturday night. 166 patients have been discharged with 19 deaths as at Saturday night.
