Lagos State Government has made wearing of protective face masks compulsory in the state.
Governor of the state Babajide Sanwo-Olu, made the announcement during a statewide broadcast on the up-date of COVID-19 pandemic on Monday.
He also warned that patients who lie about their travel history will be prosecuted.
He said, “These patients do not only endanger their lives but the lives of our front line medical personnel, we already have some names and they will be prosecuted duly.”
“We would therefore like to appeal to our health workers to raise alarm as soon as they notice anything of sort,” he stated.
He also disclosed that about 150 miscreants terrorising the state had been arrested and prosecuted.
