The Katsina State Government has confirmed four new cases of COVID-19 in the state.
Recall that the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, on Tuesday, had announced that Nigeria recorded 117 new cases of coronavirus.
NCDC had in its tweet said it recorded 59 in Lagos, 14 in Kano, 29in FCT, 6 in Borno, 4 in Katsina, 31 in Ogun, 1 in Bauchi and 1 in Rivers.
The State Governor, Aminu Bello Masari, who confirmed this on his Twitter handle, encouraged residents to stay at home and stop the spread.
He said the state now has a total of 16 confirmed cases of the infection.
He said, “16 confirmed, 0 discharged, 1 death.
“With the community quarantine still in place, we encourage everyone to stay at home and stop the spread.”
