Egypt, on Wednesday, confirmed twelve deaths from complications of Coronavirus.
The African country also recorded 169 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total infections discovered in the country to 3,659.
The Egyptian Health Ministry, in a statement signed by its spokesman, Khaled Megahed, confirmed that 12 patients died of COVID-19 in Egypt on Wednesday, raising the death toll to 276.
Megahed, however, added that a total of 935 recoveries have been confirmed in the country.
Meanwhile, according to the Africa Centre for Disease Control (Africa CDC), there are now 23, 505 confirmed cases of Coronavirus in 52 countries across Africa.
Egypt is recorded as the highest country in Africa with 3,333 cases and 250 deaths, followed by South Africa with 3,300 cases and 58 deaths.
