Hajiya Fatima Adamu Baaba, mother of the Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu, is dead.
She passed away on Friday.
Ben Goong, Director of Press of the ministry, made the announcement in a statement.
Goong noted that Hajiya Fatima died at the age of 109.
The deceased is survived by six children – three males and three females.
She was buried at Azare in Bauchi State, in accordance with Islamic rites.
Her son Adamu, who is very close to President Muhammadu Buhari, is one of those being considered as the new Chief of Staff.
Buhari and Adamu have been friends for decades.
The President in his tribute to the late Abba Kyari disclosed that they were friend of 42 years.
