The Federal Capital Territory Authority, FCTA, has confirmed 40 new cases of COVID-19 in Abuja.
FCTA made the confirmation while disclosing that the capital city now has a total of 952 confirmed COVID-19 cases.
It also announced the death of another COVID-19 patient.
In a tweet on its official Twitter page on Monday, FCTA wrote: “40 NEW CASES, 4 NEWLY DISCHARGED, 1 DEATH IN THE FCT.
“Summary of COVID-19 FCT as at June 7th.
“Total number of confirmed cases: 952.
“Total number of active cases: 677
“Total discharged: 252.
“Deaths recorded: 23.
“Residents are urged to take preventive measures seriously.”
Meanwhile, the number of COVID-19 cases in Nigeria as of today is 12,486, according to the NCDC.
