Edo State has joined the list of top states with the highest cases of COVID-19.
The state in the past few days has recorded more cases of the deadly virus as it overtook Katsina State to become the fifth state with the highest cases of COVID-19.
As of Wednesday, there are 462 confirmed cases of coronavirus in the state.
Lagos, which is the most hit state in Nigeria is on top of the list with 6065 cases.
According to the data from the Nigeria Center for Disease Control, NCDC, there are now 35 states excluding Cross River with at least more than one confirmed case of COVID-19.
DAILY POST from its data gathered a list of five states as of Wednesday morning with over 200 cases of COVID-19.
Here is a compiled list of five states with over 400 confirmed coronavirus cases:
“Lagos – 6,065, Kano -1,020, FCT- 1,012, Ogun- 471, Edo- 462.”
Meanwhile, Nigeria has recorded 365 deaths with 4,206 recoveries.
Nigeria, as of Tuesday recorded 663.
This sums the total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria to 13,464 as of Wednesday morning.
