The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced nine (9) COVID-19 related deaths for Lagos State, increasing the state’s coronavirus death toll to 81.
NCDC stated this on Thursday in its COVID-19 Situation Report for June 10.
According to NCDC, seventeen (17) new COVID-19 related deaths were recorded in the last 24 hours in six states including the FCT with Lagos having nine, Delta has 3, while Rivers, FCT, Bauchi, Gombe, and Ondo recorded one death each.
NCDC disclosed that Lagos also recorded 201 new COVID-19 infections, increasing its total number of confirmed cases to 6,266.
The state, however, recorded 26 new recoveries on the reported day.
The number of discharged patients recorded for the state is now 970.
Lagos State remains the epicenter of COVID-19 cases in Nigeria.
